Filmmakers drawn to digital animation workshop

A swirling string spells out heartfelt words, birds and butterflies flit across fantasy landscapes, and inept aliens bumble through an interstellar kerfuffle… the Central Highlands’ creativity was on show in a recent digital stop motion animation workshop.

The event was the work of CQ RASN, and held at CQUniversity’s Emerald campus. More than 20 filmmakers took part, some travelling from Gladstone, Clermont, Anakie and Woorabinda.

Here’s a taste of what they came up with:

Some of the wonderful animations created by the talented participants from Emerald. The completed animations were projected on the facade of Emerald CQ University and screened for family and friends on the Sunday night. Thank you CQ RASN, CQU and the people of Emerald and Woorabinda.
