Poetry: Blood on my Hands
Today I did the most awful thing,
I couldn’t imagine what today would bring,
My madness unleashed and I crossed lines,
I never considered this - I had too many wines.
Started with a friendly game just fun,
I hit him hard, I am now on the run.
He annoyed me, like any day before,
Why I flew off the handle I am not sure.
I am going insane with my guilt,
I am not a killer - for this I'm not built.
He has gone. I tried to wake him up.
The blood everywhere, all over my cup.
I am in tears. I am going to Hell,
Who will protect me. who will I tell?
I didn’t love him, but he made me mad,
I silenced him and it made me glad.
He will never come back, I am dying inside,
I run to anywhere, just want to hide.
I killed him with a single blow,
No remorse will I show.
For I am doomed, and have to say,
Please hold me close and for me pray,
He was after my wine, that crazy guy.
That very day, I killed that fly.
