New music: Camille Trail
Every musician’s got their own way of financing an album, from day jobs to crowdfunding to a rich grandma or a modest lotto win, but for Central Queensland singer-songwriter Camille Trail it meant selling a couple of bulls.
No bull though, Camille has had a busy start to 2020 with a run of shows at Tamworth, a debut album, and now her brand new single Devil’s Drink.
“I wrote Devil’s Drink around the idea of something following you – whether it’s a person or a fear – and how you just can’t shake it off, no matter what you do,” Camille says.
“I struggle with anxiety, so this song links in with me dealing with the pressures that brings and trying to shake it all off.
“I hope it connects because I feel that the message is universal. In one way or another, maybe everyone has something they’re trying to outrun.”
