Deepwater-based band Kissing the Flint - Leah and Ken Chynoweth-Tidy - teamed up with Gladstone region filmographer Wezley Pitts and photographer William Debois to create two music videos that not only showcase the duo’s original music, but promote positivity and resilience as the region recovers from major bushfires in 2018.

The videos, for two tracks from Kissing the Flint’s EP Unconditionality released earlier this year, were filmed at locations around the Gladstone region including Deepwater, Baffle Creek, Wreck Rock Beach and Rules Beach.

Leah and Ken both feature in the videos, as does Dave Beacon from High Lion Studio where Unconditionality was recorded, and Deepwater local Wyatt Katt.

The project was funded through the Gladstone Regional Council’s Regional Arts Development Fund.

“Ultimately I’d love my ongoing development as an artist, our EP, our RADF funding success and our music videos to inspire other creatives, particularly women, to find their own unique voice and tell their stories through music,” Leah says.
