Blues, roots, folk, and family harmonies - the lineup is out for the 2018 Rockhampton River Festival.

The Rockhampton River Festival is back for its fourth year on July 13-15, this year with Indian mining company Adani as the naming-rights sponsor.  There are 26 musical acts on offer, spread across three stages dotted through the newly redeveloped Riverside presinct.

Louise Adams
Louise Adams' work is woven with flecks of blues, soul, country and indie pop.  She's coming to the River Festival via the Adelaide Fringe, Tamworth, Bendigo Blues, Blenheim and Castlemaine State Festival, plus supporting gigs for the likes of Boy & Bear, Jeff Lang and James Reyne, and Melody Pool.

Young Lions
This Brisbane alt-rock outfit has three highly acclaimed albums under their belt, and have been touring relentlessly including performances at Unify 2018 and supporting In Hearts Wake on their Great Southern Land tour earlier this year 

Jackson Dunn
Jackson Dunn is a guitar-slinging, one man roots dynamo from the Gold Coast.  His live show features lightning-speed strumming, beer bottle slide guitar, thumping foot-stomp and mesmerising drum loops. 

The Fergies
Family band The Fergies from Brisbane have a range of folk, rock and soul influences, which they explore through rich five-part harmonies.  They were featured at the Gold Coast's Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony earlier this year, and have also released their second album.

Weathered
Weathered is the moniker of CQ's own Upile Mkoka, bringer of dreamy, atmospheric nu-folk tones.  After his own headlining tour and supporting the likes of Icehouse and Busby Marou, he's how working on EP number four.

Tony Cook
Laidback Tones is a country music artist who has quietly been building a collection of original material, focused on his personal experiences and passions.  His background stretches from the cattle and sheep stations of remote outback Queensland to active service with the Australian Defence Force, and now he's planning his third single release and his debut album later this year.

This year the main stage will be in The Shipyard in the lower Riverside car park between William and Derby Streets, and local acts will be split between The Cube on Rod Laver Plaza (in the heart of the new Riverside development) and another stage at the amphitheatre between Denham and Fitzroy Streets.
