Feel the Fire with Indigenous Rocky kids
Earlier this year prolific songwriter, music producer and filmmaker Josh Arnold from Small Town Culture visited selected high schools across Queensland, working with Indigenous kids to turn their stories, dreams and hopes into songs and music videos.
His third stop was Rockhampton, where he worked with students from Emmaus and The Cathedral College to create Feel the Fire, a powerful song about cultural connection.
'Feel the Fire' is the third Music Video in the 'Identity Matters' series produced with Indigenous students from Catholic Education across Queensland. The song was written in collaboration with students from Emmaus College and The Cathedral College in Rockhampton.The students expressed their desire for me and other non-indigenous people to share in their history, embrace their culture and feel what they feel....and I certainly felt it.
